You've got game. You've shipped Mendix applications, you know the platform, and you've developed strong opinions about what good looks like — and what great looks like. You are ready to move from developer to consultant. At Ciphix, that's the role waiting for you.
Think of yourself as the central defender: you read the game before it unfolds. You see where the pressure is building, technically and organisationally and you position yourself accordingly.
You work with customers across industries on projects ranging from sharp, focused implementations to multi-month transformation programmes. You're always thinking one step ahead — not just for the solution in front of you, but for what the customer will need next. You challenge scope, improve architecture, and make sure the team is building the right thing, AND building the thing right. Within the team, you play a dual role: technically deep enough to make the architectural calls, sharp enough in conversation to align stakeholders at every level. You take the work seriously, not your ego. You build the relationship first, then the solution and you make an impact that lasts. Your 1–3 years of experience give you the foundation. Your mission is simple to say, harder to do: make sure the right thing gets built and that it actually works for the people using it. You're not just a developer who codes what's in the ticket. You question whether the ticket describes the right problem in the first place. You dig into the business context, challenge assumptions, and translate what you find into Mendix solutions that hold up technically and in practice.
As a Medior, you take ownership of your own features and application modules, with experienced colleagues close by when the game gets complex. You contribute to the technical approach, flag risks before they become problems, and help keep the quality bar high across the team. You stay ahead of the game — not just in your Mendix knowledge, but in your understanding of the customer's world. The strongest consultants here aren't the ones who wait to be asked. They're the ones who already see what's coming and make the call.
No two days look the same and that's exactly the point. One morning you're deep in solving a technical puzzle that's been blocking the sprint. That afternoon you're in a session with the customer, mapping out a process and asking the question nobody thought to ask yet. Midweek you might be reviewing a colleague's work, contributing to the technical direction of the project, or thinking through how a new requirement affects the architecture you agreed on last week. You switch between technical and consultative naturally — not because you have to, but because you understand that both sides matter. Great solutions don't come from great code alone. They come from teams that communicate well, challenge each other, and never lose sight of what the customer actually needs.
In three months, you will learn our tools and culture with a buddy’s help. It is a warm, structured start with new challenges every week.
